Awesome!

Sounds awesome! Mixing chiptune and rock 'n roll is an instant win, in my book! I can't wait to hear the finished piece! Good luck!

Spacey!

You're right... this is a complicated piece...

It's very space-age-ish. It's got that empty space feel to it. It seems like a world coming into focus as the piece moves forward. I had to listen to the whole song to fully appreciate it. It's very risky and captivating. The mismatching sounds that slowly meld into a cohesive whole was a very bold and daring move.

It actually seems to work! Great job!

Mezmerizing tune.

The slow buildup of instruments and/or sounds is captivating. It's very relaxing, like a tropical beach, yet still retains a sense of energy and vigor found in many techno songs.

In other words, I like this piece.

Well done!

For something that, according to you, has compression issues, this manages to maintain a very high quality sound. It's got a catchy rhythm mixed with a mechanical ambiance. It gives off a very industrial vibe. You do a great job at conveying a tense mood and atmosphere. The subtle blends of guitar and strings suggest there is still life in this electronic world.

Very well done!

Catchy melody!

Well composed. I think everyone else has said more or less the same things I was going to say. The echoing is a little too high quality for a real 8-bit chiptune. However, I can't really imagine it without that effect. It works perfectly.

Again, great composition.

Epic!

Wow, if Star Wars Episodes I-III had games on the NES/Famicom, this is what it might sound like.

Great chiptune!

Brewbs responds:

:D Thanks!!

Beautiful

I get the exact same vibe from this composition. It presents an eerie, empty setting. I could see it as the calm left after the end, with everything left in ruin, as a single person collapses to his knees after struggling to the top of the rubble, utterly dismayed at the ruin in front of him/her. Rain starts to freeze the helpless survivor as he/she slowly gives up on life...

Alternatively, I can also see this in the setting of the hero of a story finally prevailing, and looking back and contemplating his/her adventure, staring off the cliff's edge at the ruined fortress...

In short, this works both for despair and relief. Despair at the loss of the world, relief as the journey comes to a close.

Keep up the good work!

SilverGorilla responds:

damn thats deep bro haha. thanks for the review tho it gave a nice visual

Honestly, I have no idea what to think...

Don't read this. Just go ahead and mark this as a useless review.

I honestly don't know what to think about this. If I knew what this was about, I would be able to apreciate it more. I'll give it a 4 so it doesn't get blammed.

I could actually imagine this in a Mega Man game, where spikes kill you instantly, and in a situation similar to the "Jump! Jump! Slide! Slide!" areas of Mega Man 8.

But in all seriousness, I wish I knew what game or animation this is for. . .

Oh Yeah! ROCK ON!

It's got a nice rock feel. None of the instruments seem out of place.

I would add a bass track of some sort to give it more variety, but that's it.

Sawdust responds:

There is bass already, actually.

Great Resonance

The resonance added to that mysterious island feel that you seem to be going for. Great job!

Skylence responds:

Ty very much :)
