Catchy!

It's got a nice beet and sound. My only two concerns are these:

If you want it to be truly 8-bit, some of the drum samples are a little too high quality for it. But that's a minor detail.

Secondly, the drum beat sounds a bit too loud, but that's really just a personal preference on my part, so you can ignore this sentence if you want to.

Other than that, it's a catchy piece.

A Great Melody

The buildup and minor key gives this piece a solemn atmosphere. It sounds like the ending for a game, with the hero looking off the edge of a cliff at the remains of the destroyed fortress (yes, a Mega Man X reference). I could see this working in a game along those lines.

But to throw all video game references away, I really like this piece. It's got a nice feel to it. The perfect pace, and instills the solemn mood well. The guitar was perfect for the melody.

Nicely done!

Wow. Clever!

This remix was really clever. It really does give the "game show" vibe. It had a nice feel. The solo(s) added worked well without being outrageous. Good job!

Great Remix!

One of the best remixes I've heard in a while. It generally flowed together well and had a great selection of syths. Some areas didn't quite transition well, but I think it was good enough.

I was able to guess all of them without looking at any comments. In order:

1. Cut Man's Stage (Mega Man)
2. Top Man's Stage (Mega Man 3)
3. Armored Armadillo's Stage (Mega Man X)
4. Spark Mandrill's Stage (Mega Man X)
5. Bubble Man's Stage (Mega Man 2)
6. Zero's Theme (Mega Man X/Mega Man Zero)
7. Centaur Man's Stage (Mega Man 6)
8. Boss Battle (Mega Man)
9. Victory Fanfare (Mega Man)

Deffinitely Better

I thought the version you accidentally uploaded was good. This version is much better. The more extensive use of strings really enhances the piece.

Again, good luck with the final version.

Thanks alot! Yea, I totally spaced I guess. The problem is sometimes I have like, 10 .flps of the same song, so I get them mixed up sometimes lol. Thanks again for the 2nd review, and I'm glad you enjoyed this one better.

Thanks for the listen and 2 reviews lol

One of my Favs

Very nice recreation. This is, hands down, one of my favorite BGMs in Mega Man 9 next to Tornado Man's stage. The more realistic drum beats enhanced it.

Simply Beautiful...

Wow... I feel like this is the calm after a storm, or something. This is an improvisation? You are a musical genius.

Even if it's only a faint idea, this sounds like it would be a complete piece. Simple is great in some instances, especially when it is pushed like this one is. Great job, and good luck with your portfolio!

Mrmilkcarton responds:

You could consider it a full song since it ends on the tonic.

Pure Beauty

This is a fantastic piece. My only problem is that there is a rattling/noise caused by some of the instruments. Other than that, this is one of the most spectacular pieces I've heard in a while! Great job!

Aeris responds:

okay, ya that's a mixer thing i added onto a choir. I'll see if maybe I can turn it down a bit or something.

Thanks for the review

What I think? Pretty Catchy!

I think you did a great job. My only problem with it is that there isn't as much variation until about 2 minutes into it. But I think it works well for that kind of creepy, ambiance in a haunted forest.

9/10.

FuNDaMeLoN responds:

Thanks for the review!
Well, I kind of tried to introduce some other elements into the beginning, but the song context just didn't go with it. But the end kind of makes up for it, I guess.
Thanks again (for the millionth time)

I know you said not to but...

I actually think the intro works well. You did better than you thought. It builds up to that industrial feel. It really makes it eerie.

I think you did better than you thought.
